Dorothy Hammerman Kehoe
Obituary

Dorothy "Dee" Hammerman Kehoe, 55, of Dartmouth, Mass., died Sunday at
home following a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was the wife
of attorney Michael A. Kehoe, with whom she shared 31 years of marriage.

Born in Scranton, daughter of Catherine Jones Hammerman, Clarks Summit,
and the late Willard D. "Bill" Hammerman, she had resided in Dartmouth
for more than 25 years. Dee was a graduate of Bucknell University, class
of 1977, and received her master's degree in social work from Syracuse
University in 1979. Dee, a licensed level-one social worker, served as
an outreach coordinator for the Dartmouth public school system for 14
years. Recently, she was the outreach coordinator at the Joseph B.
DeMello School in Dartmouth.

A kind, caring and gentle person, Dee enjoyed spending time with her
family. She was especially fond of gardening with her children, planning
and enjoying special family trips, watching Brian compete at Special
Olympics and family nights. She was an accomplished seamstress who also
enjoyed knitting, crocheting and other crafts. Dee was also active in
many recreational sports including skiing and golfing. Her singular
accomplishment in golf was a hole-in-one she achieved on June 20, 1992.
Most of all, Dee will be remembered for her quick and ever-present
smile, her love of children and her unwavering enthusiasm and enjoyment
of her family's accomplishments.
